With one of the highest attrition rates on the East Coast, the Ultra marathon is run at night as the route traverses through Prince William Forest Park. The Park was a training ground during World War II for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS). This government Agency was the predecessor to the CIA. Come is if you can accomplish the mission and perfect your trail craft with us.

In our 16th year, the idea for the 50K, 100K, and 24HR ATR came from the trail on which it is held. 100% of the net proceeds go to Semper Fi Fund, Jonas B. Kelsall Memorial Fund, and the Band of Runners, supporting our military and their families. Our goal is to promote the growth of trail running and endurance trail running.
SEPT 24, 2022
Designed as an entry level ultra, the 12-HR ATR will be held in Prince William Forest Park (PWFP), www.nps.gov/prwi just outside of Triangle, VA in Prince William County. The Park is 17,000+ acres and has over 40 miles of trails. The course is on a different configuration of trails than our other events within PWFP. It features two loops of varying distances for the runners to maximize miles.
